Ebony was so little when he came to our house-our tom-cat had actually kidnapped him from somewhere and we never could find the owner.  Needless to say, I fell in love with this little guy so he stayed.

By winter, Ebony was still only about the size of a softdrink can…but he loved to romp in the snow.

Lil’ Bit is all cat.   She thinks she’s too dignified to be a cat!   Imagine!   Unlike Ebony, you hold her when SHE wants you to hold her.  I keep telling them both that dogs rule…they just seem to laugh at me!

Following personal tragedy in 2006, God used some interesting things to teach me valuable lessons.                   One Sunday morning my attention was turned to the window where a sparrow was sitting just outside…and though the cats could see him they couldn’t get to him.       As I watched I said “God if only I could be like the little bird and realize that you are between me and the enemy and suddenly it dawned on me….funny what God has to use to make us see His hand in our lives.

I found sparrows in my tomato bush in the garden I worked in everyday and mockingbirds in my grapevine… right at my backdoor!  These little birds seemed to be at peace…and I was honored they were there.   I felt God was telling me “It’s OK, I’m here.”
